During this year a representative of the Company may
call on you for a cross—connection inspection. This yearly inspection
is required by the Company, FmHA, Ohio E.P.A., and the State Health Department
under Rule 3745—95—02, Section 6109.12, Ohio Revised Code.
It is unlawful to cross connect a public water supply to a private water
system. This inspection is made for the health and safety of all member
/ users.
Tampering with utility equipment, which includes meters, mains, reconnecting
when the Company has shut the water off, and bypassing a meter, including
hooking up to the Company’s system without a meter, when done knowingly,
constitute crimes as provided in Sections 4933.18, 4933.19, and 4933.99,
Ohio Revised Code. Such actions are also in violation of the Company’s
Rules.
Western Water Company will prosecute criminal actions in appropriate cases.
In addition to its other remedies, the Company may treat a member / user’
s agreement as void and refuse service thereafter and seek liquidated
damages for any violation of its Rules or of the prohibitions against
cross connection, tampering with or bypassing a meter. |
